Customer Reviews
Great chat
Relaxing and enjoyable discussion about the residents of Ambridge. A must for archers fans!
Better than the Sunday omnibus
I’ve been listening to the archers since the 80s and to this podcast just a few months but it is my new favourite Sunday omnibus. So enjoyable to hear the intelligent and witty thoughts and predictions from other listeners, beautifully curated by Stephen and Jacqueline. I have been surprised to find I’ve been as invested in the progress of Stephen’s new kitchen as I was Jennifer’s a few years back. It has enhanced my enjoyment of the Archers show and I now look forward to this podcast every Sunday. Definitely recommend if you’re a regular listener to the Archers.
Neo Structuralist Analysis of Rural Discourse
Foucault would be proud of this podcast, that on the surface is a witty and whimsical discussion on the Radio 4 show ‘The Archers’ but delve deeper you get a neo structuralist analysis of rural life. The sign and signifier within Tweet of the Week is particularly insightful, superficially an irrelevant throw away comment but in reality a meaningful statement upon Camus’ Myth of Sisyphus’ viewed through the prism of a 40 something farm labourer Brilliant!
