This is great, but one small suggestion

This is really useful thank you so much!

There is just one area where it is not quite as good as the Spanish podcast. The English sections (in the first episode at least) very closely pre-empt the French audio, making it too easy to work out what they’re saying. In the Spanish podcast it is normally a more vague introduction, or it is closely translated *after* the Spanish section. I might be wrong, but I also just felt like there was generally a bit more English than I would have liked.

Still off to a great start though and I can’t wait for the rest of the season, where I will hopefully raise my rating to five stars, thank you!

Episode 1 and 2

I’ve only listened to episode one and two so I don’t know if format changes.

It’s aimed at people from the USA. It gives references specific to them. For example comparing one French island to an American one. I have no idea what that island is so it’s a pointless comparison for me.

I like that it covers different French speakers from around the world.

It’s about 50:50 French and English. I’d like it to be more French. The information from the English speaker can be interesting but I’m here to learn French not to learn a life story. A lot of what he says isn’t a translation but just more context.

Overall worth a listen but not my favourite podcast.

Brilliant

Just listened to Episode 2 and am compelled to say how great this is! I had fairly good french ten years ago but wanted to brush up again recently. I was surprised at how much of this I could pick up, but the idea of having the English for some slight context and to give the brain a slight break is genius. Will be recommending!
