Ed Talks to James Evans, the CEO of Douglas & Gordon

Ed talks to a very special guest and someone that is he has known throughout his property career, James Evans - CEO of Douglas & Gordon.

In this episode, James shares some very knowledgeable advice on business mindset from his own experiences.

Good, solid branding is a key part of James's advice for success and talks about how a great company needs to be trusted and liked. Discussing Douglas & Gordon, he mentions "I like the fact that it's privately owned, yes I like the fact that it's big enough to cope, but small enough to care for all of it's clients, and that makes a big difference..."

Overall James is fully aware that the property market is changing, being in this industry no longer runs in the same way and is a strong believer that the way the world is going is now very much digital, instant, flexible and above all, needs to be simple.

Very much enjoyed your podcast with James Evans. Some good points, well made. Have always admired D&G.

Me Nick Hubner

Having known Ed for many years has helped me to formulate an opinion of the man and I have always respected and greatly appreciated his honesty when creating anything in the way of opinion to do with either property or the property industry.
Creating his own podcast is simply another brilliant idea (typical of the man) from someone wanting to explore another avenue with which to express his interest and genuine gratitude for an industry that he clearly has an ongoing passion for still-after 40 years.

At 48 years old and having been in the business myself since 16 -people like Ed keep me motivated. These are great podcasts – very interesting, very informative but most importantly a great listen! I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone who needs stimulating while doing a long commute (preferably to their job in an estate agents!)

Smart insight for all thing property

I didn’t know much about Ed Mead but from stumbling across his new business Viewber I soon became very intrigued. I’ve since learnt his property industry credentials and experience are vast and this is laid out elegantly in the podcast. Interview style cuts out the gimmicks other property podcasts use to fill time and Ed probes not only the product/service being showcased by guests but both interviewer and interviewee provide listeners with high level insight and valuable opinion of the property industry. Much to be learned for anyone involved or interested in UK property. Still fresh out the block so going forward looking forward to having more guest diversity.
