Elektrik Kulture Podkast - Brown Girls

Elektrik Kulture x Two Brown Girls
Topics to make you think, question and converse.

April 2015, I met with the brilliant writers of the Two Brown Girls blog, Seetal Gahir and Aaminah Patel. We wanted to discuss and unpick the topic of feminism (or feminism as we know it in west, a more euro - centric feminism).

Can the feminism we know over in the UK apply to South Asian cultures?

You won't necessarily agree with everything that's been said, and some of it you may find; really rubs you up the wrong way. Perfect. Think about it, question it and then talk about it.

    Elektrik Kulture Podkast - Strolling

    Elektrik Kulture x Cecile Emeke
Topics to make you think, question and converse.

Two weeks ago, I met up Cecile Emeke, Michelle Tiwo and Vanessa Babirye to talk about the online series 'Strolling' and a new independent film 'Ackee and Saltfish'.

We talked about white supremacy being masqueraded as racism, and black men being the most sexist type of guy due to deeply ingrained patriarchy and misogyny being expected of them as well as ways you can support the continuation of independent film.
