    27. Cycling and Triathlon Aerodynamics revolutionised - Eric Degolier, founder of BodyRocket

    27. Cycling and Triathlon Aerodynamics revolutionised - Eric Degolier, founder of BodyRocket

In this episode I talk to Eric Degolier, Founder of Body Rocket, a new product soon to be release that will take the Triathlon and Cycling Industry by storm.

Body Rocket is a device which fits onto your bike in the form of sensors on your seat post, stem and pedals. Real-time aerodynamic drag force data is then beamed wirelessly to a Garmin cycle computer, giving you precise, in-the-moment feedback throughout the course of a training session or race, or as you experiment with different positions, movements and kit.   After each session you will have a comprehensive picture of your aerodynamic data which you can analyse to identify incremental improvements.

Body Rocket are proud to partner with Kristian Blumenfelt and Gustav Iden.  Body Rocket will  be hosting a webinar with Kristian, Gustav, and Olav on July 12th at 13:00. Anyone who signs up for the mailing list will get a link to the webinar sign-up. Alternatively they can visit the CrowdCube page https://www.crowdcube.com/body-rocket

    25. What makes the best triathlon team in the world? - Arild Tveiten, Triathlon Norway head coach, Belief, Sports Science and Fun.

    25. What makes the best triathlon team in the world? - Arild Tveiten, Triathlon Norway head coach, Belief, Sports Science and Fun.

Arild Tveiten is the head coach of the Norwegian Triathlon Federation, the coach who guided three ordinary young athletes who as Arild said himself would not have made any other countries National team for triathlon, and made them the best in the world.

Olympic Gold medalist and 2021 WTCS champion, Kristian Blummenfelt, x2 70.3 World Champion Gustav Iden, and 2018 Bermuda WTCS winner Casper Stornes, as well as olympian Lotte Miller and a whole host of new up and coming Norwegian athletes are under the guidance of Arild.

In this episode Arild shares his own story of how he got involved in triathlon, competed in Kona, and then took up the position of head coach for a group of junior athletes which just happened through luck or coincidence or perhaps just as a result of Arilds belief and vision to produce the names mentioned above.

We talk about the team spirit and confidence of the Norwegians, the meticulous scientific testing and procedures that are implemented in their daily training and the love and joy of training and racing that radiates from the team.
