Ep 467: Taste Canada 2022, South Okanagan Valley, Wine Growers British Columbia, 1/2 Interpreting Wine Podcast

    • Food

I’m Lawrence Francis, Host of Interpreting Wine the place to learn from thought leaders in the world of wine and marketing, welcoming you to the Wine Growers British Columbia series. A specially commissioned two part series recorded at Taste Canada 2022 annual tasting in London. Exploring the North and South Okanagan Valleys in the company of the people who live and make wine in the region. This marks another first for the podcast, creating the benchmark podcast content for the region. We kick off today’s first episode with a South Okanagan Valley Regional overview with Severine Pinte, winemaker at Le Vieux Pin and Lastella Wineries. She orientates us to the culture, geography and geology of this fascinating region, highlighting sustainability initiatives in the region. Each representative also tastes one of their wines they brought to the annual tasting. And there are details from each of them about whether the wines are already imported, or whether they’re seeking representation.
