09 Mandy Manners - Shame Solutions Things I Wish I’d Known with Rachael Welford

    • Mental Health

Mandy Manners is a coach, speaker, writer and Mum of two. She has left her party lifestyle behind to embrace a sober life, calmer brain and pursue slow life satisfaction. She is passionate about breaking down the stigma of shame, trauma and mental illness through telling her own story honestly and authentically. You can see why I invited her on the podcast as our missions are completely aligned and she is such an open, kind hearted soul I wanted to help share her knowledge with you.
Mandy is also the co-founder of Love Sober with Kate Baily. Together they work with women to help them feel empowered by their choice to stop drinking. Mandy and Kate work with women to use their choice to go sober to pivot from surviving to thriving in all areas of their lives using a holistic approach to growth change and wellbeing.
In this episode we discuss how Mandy got into sober living and began to unpack and work through the shame and trauma she experienced after a devastating sexual attack in Mexico. We discuss speaking our shame and how to open up conversations with your family.
