Actor, singer and radio presenter, Jumoké Fashola joins host Titilola Dawudu to talk about her career across arts and music. Jumoké had a long-standing tenure at London’s Ronnie Scotts and is a presenter across BBC radio. As actor, Jumoké recently appeared in Temi Wilkey’s The High Table (2020) at London's Bush Theatre, Zawe Ashtons For All The Women Who Thought They Were Mad at Hackney Showroom, and the much acclaimed Arcola Theatre production of Lola Shoneyin’s The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives.
In this launch episode, Jumoké talks about other people’s discomfort in discussions around diversity and what she calls ‘widening the pool of understanding’ whilst giving insight into the arts and music industry when she was first started out.
