Four wins in a row, you say? A piece of toast...

THE Buff Podcast is back once again with all the build-up to the biggest game of Bolton Wanderers' season... So far!

League leaders Portsmouth are in town for a match with more spice than the larder at Rice n Three.

Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt take you through all the week's headlines, from Bolton's injury concerns over Ricardo Santos and Josh Sheehan and Nathan Baxter's grand return at Bristol Rovers, to the row over Pompey's away allocation and how many points it will really take to get promotion.

We go through last Saturday's game at the Memorial Stadium, review Derby's surprising hiccup at Wycombe and assess just how big a threat Peterborough United are to the top two battle.

Of course there are emails... There are always emails. And we bring a special Who Are You with the letter V, including a quick-fire quiz.

Looking ahead, we review Pompey's incredible season, why Kusini Yengi might be playing with fire, and why this could be the most pressured BWFC game since, well, forever!

The Buff presents: A bag of Bolton Wanderers pick and mix

The Buff presents: A bag of Bolton Wanderers pick and mix

THE Buff Podcast is back with a special episode of hidden gems to keep your entertained on the way down to Bristol Rovers.

Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt are not picking through the headlines this week – but instead bringing you a couple of special guests.

Author Chris Evans joins us to talk about his brand new book – Total Belief – which charts the amazing journey of Bruce Rioch’s Wanderers in the early nineties.

And midfielder George Thomason makes his Buff debut, with a look back at his incredible rise from non-league football, the Keith Hill days, being a footballer in Covid and making himself a million-pound rated footballer who ‘could’ have been playing down in Bristol if he had accepted City’s offer.

We have your emails, there is a return for Danny Shittu, Who Are You has reached the letter T and there is talk of what would happen if we had footballing mosh-pits.

It is something different. A pick n Mix. But it’s well worth a listen!

Is it promotion party time or a slow shuffle to the play-offs?

Is it promotion party time or a slow shuffle to the play-offs?

Get on your disco pants, head down to Stevenage, because we're having an Easter Disco.

The Buff is back and we're praying we don't see Steve Evans strutting any dance moves at the Lamex Stadium on Good Friday!

Wanderers take on Stevenage before hosting Reading on Easter Monday in front of a packed out Toughsheet Stadium.

Can Ian Evatt's side get back into the promotion mix? Or is this just going to be a slow shuffle towards the play-offs?

Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt discuss all the week's headlines [edit - including some hastily re-recorded updates] from The Bolton News and beyond, bringing you bang up to date with what has been going on at Bolton Wanderers.

We have also recruited some specialist help to discuss what is going on at Stevenage and Reading, with the Comet's Neil Metcalfe and Reading Chronicle's James Earnshaw dropping by to give us the very latest from their club.

And we're realising this on a Thursday for a change, to give everyone the best possible chance of getting in the matchday mood!

The Buff presents: Stranger things have happened!

The Buff presents: Stranger things have happened!

IT might be the international break – but that hasn’t stopped the headlines flowing at Bolton Wanderers.

The Buff is back once again to guide you through the week’s news around the Toughsheet Stadium, which has included a potentially damaging defeat at Derby County, a surprising international call for Dion Charles and a major decision on the horizon about safe standing.

We also delve into the biggest football story anywhere in the UK this week – the impending introduction of an independent football regulator, and we ask how it will affect Bolton and finances in the wider world.

Who Are You is back again with your suggestions for the letter ‘S’ and, we’ll be honest, there were too many to list this week, so we’ll be bring you part two next time!

Prince Charming and ticking off the monkeys on our back

Prince Charming and ticking off the monkeys on our back

WELCOME back to The Buff, where ridicule is nothing to be scared of...

Dandy highwaymen Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt take you back to 1981 when Wanderers last beat Derby County for three points and Adam and the Ants ruled the airwaves. It was a simpler time.

It has been a big week for the Whites. Eoin Toal's header salvaged a draw at Exeter City and the mood was lifted by a brilliant 5-0 win against Oxford United, driven by the Welsh Wizard Josh Sheehan in midfield.

We pick apart both games, look ahead to Pride Park and review all the headlines from The Bolton News.

We bring reader emails on youth talent, and why Wigan Athletic seem to pick up more players, and Who Are You is back with the letter R. Do you want to know who had to mark Harry Kane on his debut for Bolton? Or maybe the player who lasted just four months before getting homesick? All will be revealed.

The Buff presents: Randell vibes, Cosgrove falls, Exeter City and Oxford United

The Buff presents: Randell vibes, Cosgrove falls, Exeter City and Oxford United

Welcome back to The Buff Podcast, which thankfully is a lot more upbeat this week!

Even Ian Evatt was on a downer after last week's show, which tackled the depressing defeats at Blackpool and Wigan. But after a solid return to form against Cambridge United and a stirring comeback to grab a point at Barnsley, Bolton are second in the table and everything is better with the world once more.

We look ahead to two big games at Exeter City and Oxford United, sifting through the headlines from the week at Wanderers,

Who Are You is back once more with the letter Q and we read out some of the top emails we have received, including a good point about Bolton's recent workload.

Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt (now smiling again) give out their predictions on the week ahead and who they would like to see start this weekend at St James Park.

Chris D1972 ,

Marc

It’s what Friday mornings are all about. All footballing weekends begin with The Buff Podcast and a balanced dose of debate, humour and dare I say a bit of controversy for good measure.

Brilliantly compiled and massively entertaining each and every week. And sometimes Henry is triumphant!

Great work from Marc and the team on The Buff. A very original podcast and an insightful view into the world of Bolton Wanderers FC.
