Episode 340: Caitlin Clark, Spotify features, and Dumb comparisons
It is a big week for women's basketball as college star Caitlin Clark went No. 1 in the WNBA draft. As incredible as her college career was, some fans are outraged at her salary. Dave and I dig into how much she's getting paid and why. My iPhone doesn't connect to my new truck using CarPlay, so I can't use Maps or Apple Music. This forced me into getting a subscription to Spotify and it has some really cool features. We are all looking (cautiously) forward to AI, but some of the new products are really bad. We take a look at one of them.

The solar eclipse happened this week so Dave and I took a few minutes to talk about our experiences. After stopping development of its car project, Apple is now rumored to be entering the home robotics space. It will be interesting to see what that will be in the future. The New York Times gave one of its reporters the task of switching from iPhone to Android—it went okay, but it certainl wasn't smooth in all areas. Apple TV+ added a lot of movies from different studios to its service this week. They are all available for free if you subscribe to Apple TV+.

If the rumors are true, Apple is expected to introduce new iPads soon. There could be a new iPad Air and Pro models, but not a new iPad mini.

One of My Favourite Shows
Great stuff. Merlin and Jim remind me of the tortoise & the hare. Merlin, fast paced and hopping all over the place, Jim, slow and steady but always heading in the right direction. Could be a recipe for disaster in less accomplished hands but these guys draw you in and keep you listening.
Must listen show
Awesome shows and can’t wait for more episodes to come.
