Episode 19: Nottingham, city of caves We Share These Streets

    • Education

Nottingham has a huge number of manmade caves. Many have been destroyed and some still grace the city whilst others are waiting to be discovered. This episode explores some of the tales of subterranean Nottingham, both factual and fictional.

Very special thanks to Nottingham’s city archaeologist Scott Lomax for providing the information that this episode is built upon. We really appreciate his time and expertise. Scott would love to hear from you if you have memories of taking shelter from air raids in Nottingham caves. You can contact him via email here: Scott.Lomax@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
