One of the best
One of the best horror podcasts, currently on hiatus but at least popping back for Halloween
Informative and witty
I thought I'd seen it all! And then Mr Roberts and his Nasty Pasty podcast reminded me just how much horror/genre content was out there I haven't seen. His enthusastic and funny reviews always make me want to go out and watch the films he's covering - or if I've seen them before I want to give them a rewatch. Nice to see another podcast with a camp touch revelling in the genre too. Particularly enjoyed his episodes on Don't Look Now and Live Like a Cop Die Like A Man but they're all a hoot, highly recommended.
Freshly baked with a rich meaty filling
With so many horror movie podcasts out there, and a limited amount of time for me to listen, I have to be very selective in which ones I follow. When The Nasty Pasty Podcast released its first episode, I thought it sounded interesting, so I gave it a try. And as soon as I finished listening, I clicked the subscribe button. That does not happen very often, believe me!
This is a show that's well-produced, and presented by an enthusiastic host who clearly knows his stuff. You can tell he's put a lot of work into researching the two films, and all this information is put across in an engaging and accessible way. Rather than directing most of the focus on plot synopses, Andrew also gives us a much broader picture. He talks about the movies' backgrounds, the social context for the time they were released, their significance to the genre, as well as behind the scenes information and his own views. And all done in a way that's easy to listen to, and left me wanting more.
This is a really impressive start to a very interesting new podcast. So, if horror movies are your thing, and you'd like to expand your knowledge as well, I recommend you give The Nasty Pasty Podcast a try.
