Despite her success, the road was never smooth for Carole as a woman in a majority male industry. Then, later in life, she had to recover from major heart surgery. Love this podcast, as a Rochdale girl it was fab listening to all these stories xxx I so wish I’d done drama and performing arts as I was so good at it but careers advisor advised me against it saying it wasn’t a proper job!
