What’s wrong with compromise? Other than it is less than either of us was hoping for and it seldom happens? The obvious option doesn’t look any better: win/lose has never been the way forward. Just watch how it plays out in politics. As individuals and as society we need to explore what is better than compromise and what it takes to get there. Join us in imagining this calmer, counter-cultural vision as the election rages around us.

Citizen! What a Citizen Can Do
Citizens can create the future for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children. It's what we are always doing, whether we know it or not. And if we don’t take our citizenship seriously, no one may want the future we leave them with. Apathy, discouragement, and hopelessness are rampant in younger generations and they have seen little to make them feel differently. It’s time to change that, fellow citizens. Let’s listen deeply and act. This is about thought and action for November 3 and beyond.

You don't really HATE anything, right? Sure, you use the word once in a while, but you just don’t really like them or it. Maybe, but hatred is a sneaky critter that knows how to put on nice clothes and say the right things so it can grow undercover. Needless to say, it isn’t a good bedfellow with love. It might be good to take a look inside to see what may be crowding love out of your heart.
