Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Roman Holiday (Wyler #6), Wildcat

The latest “Planet of the Apes” entry isn’t without fresh ideas, but Adam and Josh still miss Andy Serkis’s Caesar. They’ve got praise, though, for Ethan Hawke’s inventive Flannery O’Connor biopic, "Wildcat," and they’re joined by Michael Phillips for a post-screening conversation about 1953’s “Roman Holiday.”

15 years and still peak podcast

I started listening in 2008, a young full head of haired man of 27. I’m still listening in 2023, a bald, exhausted 42 year old with multiple frown lines where hair should be. Adam and Josh feel like family to me, they have that warmth, along with an incomparable way with film criticism. Thanks for everything Filmspotting! Forever a fan.

Terraforming Mars ,

Nourishment for the mind

I’ve been listening to this podcast for a number of years. I’m going to become a family member as I need to delve into the March madness competitions back catalogue.
Words are difficult to find for the simple joy this brings me. I hear the ‘absolute’ madness and it just makes me inwardly grin. Absolutely brilliant every time.
I used to listen to mark kermode and think he was the doyen. Listening to this has proved me so wrong. The depth and accomplishment of each episode leaves me awe struck. I have learnt so much.
My brain really appreciates each episode as it’s so fulfilling. Thanks so much.
