    784. Insights: Holistic financial wellbeing

Our expert host Ross Gallagher is joined by some great guests to dive into the subject of holistic financial wellbeing.

What does that even mean, I hear you ask? Well, we’re going to answer that, while looking at the value add for customers within the ecosystem of one brand, how the brands can cultivate that customer stickiness and retention to keep them within the brand’s umbrella, while offering them new products and services to improve their financial health and management.

We also look at the balance between guidance and advice and how to bake this into propositions and how brands can tread the line between the two, while still offering value to customers.

    This week's guests include:

Niro Nirmalan, Head of Digital Transformation, Nat West Group

    782. Insights: How should we measure success in fintech? (Rewind )

    782. Insights: How should we measure success in fintech? (Rewind )

This week we’re bringing you a very special rewind show from the Fintech Insider archives.

Hosted by Benjamin Ensor and joined by some very special guests from Allica bank, Anthemis and This Week in Fintech, the show asked the question: How should we measure success in fintech?'

In a period where valuations are tumbling, we’re seeing fintechs either get bought out entirely or sadly have to shutter their doors, we’re examining whether valuation and customer numbers are the best measure of success for fintech. Should we be paying more attention to profitability or the problems they are solving for their home markets? Or are there even success metrics we haven’t thought of at all?

This is as highly relevant a discussion now as it was almost a year ago when we first had it, perhaps even more so.

    This week's guests include:

Katie Palenscar, Managing Director & Global Head of Venture Studio, Anthemis
Nik Milanović, Editor, This Week In Fintech
    Richard Davies, CEO, Allica Bank

Come and see the show LIVE at our Fintech Insider: After Dark event on 20th September in London's Village Underground. Grab your tickets here.

    781. Focus: Creating end to end access to finance in APAC with Vrutika Mody, Head of GoPay Global Partnerships

In this episode, we're looking at the rise of embedded finance, and its specific use cases in the APAC market.
Visa is predicting the sector to be worth $242 billion US dollars in opportunities for financial providers by 2025 – it’s safe to say lots of people across Asia Pacific are exploring those possibilities.

One such company is GoJek and GoPay and host David Barton-Grimley sat down with** Vrutika Mody, Head of GoPay Global Partnerships** to delve into how GoPay is really opening up access to financial servcices in Indonesia in particular; how GoJek evolved from a ride hailing app to a financial super app changing lives in its home market and what the future might look like for access to finance in that space, including how the incumbents can up their game.

Visa’s Fintech Fast Track program is streamlining the onboarding process for fintechs – enabling them to gain access to Visa’s powerful capabilities and network. Visa and their enablement partners help fintechs launch and scale cards, virtual credentials, and disbursement programs. To learn more visit, [partner.visa.com](partner.visa.com).

Very insightful, well worth a listen if you play in the FinTech, InsurTech space, relevant to all players in the value chain.

Push the speakers harder please. I need to learn something new in an hour-long podcast

The podcast is good at summarizing the news and bringing speakers from a range of businesses. The interviewers need to get a lot less breathless and happy for the founders when they close a raise, and push the journalism beyond the hype. What specifically is different about your business than the incumbents, and precisely how is that possible to monetize? Please don’t just let them stop at “we are listening to our customers” or “we are agile”. It’s generic.

Superb collection, I’m in banking and love the views on future tech and the changing financial landscape. Thank You!
