There’s some North London derby jitters for Jim, while Vish seems much calmer about Man Utd’s prospects against Erling Haaland n’ company. We also celebrate the return of Keeping Up with the Icardis and Kevin Keegan’s latest awards show gig. We did wonder about all that disruption at Dover…

On The Continent: Less Ronaldo, More Portugal?

On The Continent: Less Ronaldo, More Portugal?

Dotun, Andy and David Cartlidge are here with a state of play after the final international break before the World Cup. We wonder if Germany might prove entertaining rather than efficient come Qatar and whether the problems plaguing France have knocked them off their prime perch.
There’s also time for a Barcelona injury update and a question even devoted fans are starting to ask: do Portugal need to move on from Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ramble Reacts: England steady the ship

Ramble Reacts: England steady the ship

After their final game ahead of the World Cup, Marcus, Luke and Andy check on England’s progress after an entertaining - if chaotic - draw against Germany last night.
The likes of Jude Bellingham and Reece James proved their immense worth, but Harry Maguire tripped over the dice Gareth Southgate rolled when deciding to play him again. The boys discuss that and also wonder about the immediate future for Trent Alexander-Arnold after he was left out of the match day squad, before announcing the return of a very special Ramble show!

    The Ramble: Scotland's best backside

    The Ramble: Scotland's best backside

Oof, that was a poor weekend for England players and fans alike. However, there is at least some consolation in knowing that our weekend wasn't as bad as Tony Adams'.
Elsewhere, Wales show some British solidarity with their own relegation - unlike Scotland and Ireland - and we celebrate the Faroe Islands going four games unbeaten at the expense of Andy Brassell's little slugs, Turkey.

Loving the new format

Have really been enjoying the new lineup of shows. Each show now feels like real thought has been put into it, and the presenters also sound like they’re enjoying it more. Thanks Ramblers!

Fallen so Far

This used to be my go to podcast and would re listen to old ones when I wanted something to listen to . Now it’s lost what made it so funny , takes itself far to seriously, any podcast which claims to be a comedy when it has the worlds biggest bore Andy Brassell and pious Pete Donaldson( who I swear has to be contrary just for the sake of being contrary) . Last season I started listening only to the Friday episodes as I liked the preview and the game , even that now is tired and boring . Such a shame to listen back 3-4 years ago to what it is now .

Standards dropped

I loved listening to Ramble last season as was always fun especially when presented by Kate and with Luke, Marcus or Andy.

However this year I just can’t listen when Vish or Pete are on who seem to have an agenda against my team which is becoming as boring as it is predictable. Vish’s view on 1 player in particular who had over 50 caps for his country are pathetic.

As such I just can’t listen anymore when I see their name down as presenters, if I did I’d simply end up with a damaged phone. Their views are sweeping generalisations that are agenda driven and obviously not gained by watching the games or understanding of my team.
