Born into privilege, the Prince of Pennsylvania John Du Pont could be described simply as eccentric. Amongst other things, he claimed the titles of rare stamp collector, olympic wrestling coach, and bird/seashell enthusiast. Throughout the course of his life, John's interests and behavior became increasingly odd. He began to attract more attention at the age of 55 when he began to compete worldwide in wrestling competitons. On January 26, 1996, John shot three bullets into Dave Schultz, the coach of his wrestling team. The seemingly unprovoked attack continues to baffle minds to this day.
