James Bond in Texas + North Hollywood Shoutout Finale
Welcome back to the From Tailors With Love podcast, today we’re talking to my new friend James Bond. Yes that’s his real name, if you’ve seen the film The Other Fellow you’ll know who I’m talking about.
I was in Austin, Texas over the weekend. I put the word out I was in town and Matt Bauer the director connected James and I who lives about 40 miles outside of Austin. So he drove over to my hotel, we sat down had a beer in the lobby and we had a quick 10 minute chat which I enjoyed.

I do have the final part of the North Hollywood Shoot out to play you in the HEAT section of the podcast. This was the most brutal gunfight in modern American history and it drew close parellels to the movie HEAT. Today we’re talking to Oscar Winning Costume Designer Mark Bridges about his work on Maestro available now on Netflix. But I also ask him if he's ever thought of doing the costumes for a Bond film.
He replied 'It fascinates me it seems like a huge huge undertaking, but obviously it can be done. And I really love British tailoring.'

Funny, genuine and insightful
Really enjoyable podcast. The interviews are great, but I really love the meandering monologues because they just feel like you’re hanging out and chatting. The style breakdowns of films showcase Pete’s depth of knowledge and passion for both clothes and film, and the anecdotes feel like you’re getting inside info on the QT. Highly recommended!
Great Podcast
King of niche podcasts but your here for a reason right? The Bond episodes are fantastic and I love how it’s evolved into other movies (that just so happen to be some of my favourites). I’d also hedge a bet that if you’re this deep down the rabbit hole in Bond, chances are they are some of your favourites too.
Pete’s a great host and gets a lot out of the interviews, I also look forward to the pre/post chat too.
I also like when Pete manages to break Matt’s professional manner and lowers him into something funny!
