Gal #42: Kelly Lindsey - "Nobody ever does anything alone"

This week we are joined by the incredible Kelly Lindsay - global football leader, COO and Director of Football at Lewes FC. She's also quite possibly the most positive person on the planet. Kelly has worked everywhere from the US to Morocco, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong, building national team programmes, leading clubs through massive cultural shifts, and helping Morocco reach their first ever Women's World Cup. Her career is the definition of football as a force for good. Kelly was first introduced to us through the wonderful Maggie Murphy (our Gal #21) who spoke about her in glowing terms. We can confirm: every word was true. She also breaks the rules by picking approximately 25 people for her five-a-side team - and we decided to allow it. Kelly's Dream Team is less a five-a-side squad and more a movement – and she shares why the collective has always been at the heart of everything she does. Hosts Lorne Magill and Nora Beqaj are best friends and co-founders of Gals FC, the football club that exists to give gals a good time. Gal #41: Liz Ward - "Don't underestimate your ability, or how much water you need to drink"

This week we are joined by the brilliant Liz Ward - independent consultant, facilitator, and educator who helps people and organisations work better together. With a career spanning the Advocacy Academy, Stonewall, and now freelance work in football academies, brands, and not-for-profits across the UK, Liz is someone who walks the walk every single day. We first met Liz at a Euros event over the summer, she was there supporting her fiancée Miriam Walker-Khan (yes, THAT Miriam our very first live podcast guest) and we knew from the moment we saw her that she was someone special. We were right. Liz shares a Dream Team that is deeply personal, wonderfully surprising, and completely led from the heart. This one is packed with warmth, big ideas, and stories that will stay with you. We came away feeling like we'd been in the best pub conversation of our lives. Gal #38: Jo Tongue - "Football is a lifestyle"

This week we're absolutely thrilled to welcome Jo Tongue to the Dream Teams podcast - powerhouse agent, CEO of Tongue Tied Management, and the woman behind some of the biggest names in women's football. She spent 10 years editing BBC Five Live's iconic football phone-in 606 before founding her agency, and her impact was recognised in 2023 when she was awarded an MBE for services to football and gender equality. We chat about everything from bringing her son Leo to every football ground imaginable, to why she deliberately asks for plus-one tickets so her team can bring friends and family to matches. This episode is packed with wisdom about working hard, surrounding yourself with calm people when you're naturally fiery, and why sometimes you just need to put on your leopard print coat and walk into that room full of dark suits.
