The Storyteller System by White Wolf | GMJ 293

This week I give a brief introduction to the Storyteller RPG system by White Wolf. This is the system used for the World of Darkness games, including Vampire: the Masquerade, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, Changeling: the Dreaming, Mage: the Ascension, and Wraith: the Oblivion. This versatile system is easy to learn, easy to teach, and easy to run, and it’s one of my favorites.

Not bad, but too much waffle...

I am enjoying the podcast's series on West Marches campaigns. What really detracts is the preamble at the start. Every episode has 15-20mins of waffle about Patreons, buying T-Shirts and other filler. I also hate the trance music.

Pretty useful

I just discovered this podcast series as part of my research for running fifth edition. As an experienced DM with 35 plus years of gaming behind me, its always useful to hear others’ views and experiences of running games.

This series is really helping me examine the new rules and also challenge my perceptions of running a game.

I agree with the preamble length in each episode but I understand why it is there. Just scrub past it and enjoy the well explained content within.
