Genesis helps us push ‘reset’ so we can be reminded of who God is, who we are as human persons, why God created us, what our purpose in life is, and what God desires for each one of us. Growing in our knowledge of these things will broaden and clarify our perspective on the big questions of life and will help us flourish better as we experience life as individuals, and as a society of persons, within God’s creation.Genesis 2 serves like a commentary on Genesis 1 elaborating in greater detail on a biblical work ethic, God’s creation of humankind, and the establishment of God’s design for marriage.
