She was a high school math teacher for twenty-four years. She recently retired from teaching to focus on speaking and writing full time. She is mom to Missy and son-in-law Derek, who live in Dallas, Valerie, who lives in College Station, and Matthew who lives in Heaven. Michelle lives in Hewitt, Texas with her senior citizen chihuahua, Pumpkin.
