Ep. 2 | Have We Made Judaism Too Hard to Keep in 2021‪?‬ J-TV Podcasts

    • Judaism

Hello, and welcome back to J-TV Podcasts!
My name is Sam Kaufman, again joining Ollie Anisfeld to discuss whether Judaism and general Jewish observance in 2021 is too hard to keep - and why that is.
We’re going to speak about the role of emphasis in Jewish thought – how different sects with Judaism will agree upon the fundamentals 100%, but it’s the way they prioritise the different aspects – that’s what distinguishes them from one another.
Ollie speaks about “Pachad” = fear, and how he believes it is the source for unhealthy stringencies that lack deeper meaning and can potentially cause misery
The alternative, however, is to build up one’s relationship Judaism, and their Jewish observance, with genuine, meaningful actions that only serve to strengthen our relationship with our creator.
