    Pierre Thiam

    Pierre Thiam

This week the girls had the privilege of interviewing culinary ambassador Pierre Thiam. Born in Senegal, Thiam is a New York City- based chef, restaurateur, author, and entrepreneur who has worked to bring the flavors and culinary traditions of West Africa to the rest of the world, and whose career runs the gamut between hospitality and social justice. His company Yolélé Foods advocates for smallholder farmers in the Sahel by opening new markets for crops grown in Africa; its signature product, Yolélé Fonio, is now available at retailers across America. It is also extremely delicious and, as Thiam says, easier to pronounce than quinoa :). Join us as we talk about the importance of sharing food with both loved ones and strangers.

Xoxo See you at Chip Hour everyday Wednesday at 6PM est! And rate the pod if you love the pod as much as we love you!

    CHICAGO! Pt. 2

    CHICAGO! Pt. 2

Sausage. Sausage. Ditka. Sausage. This week, the girls are joined by Elana Schulman of legendary Eli’s Cheesecake, a true Chicago institution. From the 1893 World’s Fair to Taste of Chicago (the biggest food festival in the world! THE WORLD!), this is a city steeped in sausage, er-- food firsts. We’re diving into a smorgasbord of culinary history and tradition that makes this city so damn delicious.

THANK YOU TO OUR LISTENERS! We’re charting at #26 in the iTunes Arts category, so thank you for all your support. We love you! Keep listening, sharing, and let’s get Having A Night up to #1!!!

    CHICAGO! Pt. 1

    CHICAGO! Pt. 1

All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango… Wait, sorry, wrong Chicago. We’re not talking about the musical, you yahoos, we’re talking about the Great White City and the foods found therein… This is a two-parter, so don’t get smug, thinking you know all there is to know after listening to Ari wax poetic about her hometown. The girls go down a hotdog wormhole, indulge in Deep-Dish fantasies, and come out the other side covered in blue-green relish. N.B. did you know that a Chicago Hot Dog is basically just a salad? Yeah, we thought not.

XOXO Rate the pod if you like the pod and see you Wednesdays at 6pm EST on Instagram Live for Chip Hour!

Sammyhubbs ,

Brilliant!!

I listen from The UK and I love it!! Love the banter between the ladies - the cooking tips are great ( tho I didn’t realise how different our languages are when talking about food 😂😂. But overall a great listen and even more so in lock down. Keep going ladies! 😘

Not great

Hey. We live in New York and we complain about living in a small apartment but hey!, our dinner party needs a round table with ten people around it- but obviously minus the avocado dip. Oh and I forgot ravioli. The first episode was such garbage. There’s no sustenance in this at all but hey we always have marinara. And you didn’t know what RSVP mean. Honestly.
