This podcast gets five stars but should be allowed at least 11

I’ve learned a lot from Brenna over the years but this is my favourite way of her teaching me stuff. Thoughtful discussion, considered criticism and thought provoking comparisons of original text and their adaptations. Do yourself a favour and shove this podcast into your ears! Now!!! (Caveat, it gets expensive buying the books you haven’t read yet.)

Happy birthday, Brenna!

I’ve listened to every episode of this show so far and really enjoy it - the discussions are always thoughtful and nuanced, as well as frequently funny. I have to say I particularly enjoy the episodes where the hosts didn’t enjoy one or both of the source materials, because they usually hit the nail on the head regarding why things didn’t work, which is super interesting and often something I’ve felt but haven’t been able to put my finger in. The focus on adaptation - how things translate from book to film, why certain changes may have been made, etc - is a unique and fascinating angle. Highly recommended!
