In these podcasts of post-dialogue interviews, nine of 19 participants – a mix of policymakers, managers, researchers and citizens – discuss the various factors to be considered and addressed in order to effectively engage patients and citizens in decisions about healthcare technologies. Coordinating and supporting the existing efforts of public engagement, developing a clear understanding of how and why to engage the public, determining how such viewpoints can and should be used, and how to measure the impact of such engagement, are among the challenges described.
