Dean Lucas, born in 1995 in rural Victoria, Australia, is a Professional Downhill Mountain Bike Racer representing the global SCOTT downhill factory team based out of Switzerland.
Dean started racing mountain bikes at the age of 12 and slowly progressed through state ranks and continued to take out titles as he matured age divisions.
Dean then took interest in the Australian National Downhill Series in which he initially struggled to find his groove for the the first few years with much stronger competition from around the country. Through dedication and a passion for the sport Dean eventually developed his form to take the championship title in the Under 19’s category before moving into his first year in the Elite category.
Fast forward to present day, and Dean races internationally all around the world accomplishing Oceanic and UCI Downhill podium results. Notably, Dean finished within the top 10 in the overall UCI Downhill World Cup standings for the 2019 season.

A recent study by Binghamton University in New York shows that meditation has significant changes on our ability to switch between states and to alter our ability to focus.
Using a consistent meditation practice, study participants were able to quickly switch between what is referred to as the “default mode network” or lower Alpha or Theta brainwaves utilized in states such as meditation, hypnotherapy or relaxation and what is called the “dorsal attention network” or higher Alpha brainwaves utilized in highly focused activities required for us high-achieving entrepreneurs.
That means, meditating regularly improves your ability to self-regulate your brain’s activity and ability to either increase focus and precision of thought or calm your nervous system and slow your thoughts to gain peace of mind.
