A ‘Must listen’ for book & show fans

Great mix of in-depth book focused character reviews, show coverage, and wonderful views of the historical world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

Great but definitely flawed

I’ve listened for years and Aziz provides phenomenal insight and analysis. His expertise and deep knowledge has really enhanced my enjoyment of the series, but though it pains me to say it Ashaya is kind of annoying.

There’s not much she can do about her grating voice (and fair play, she’s tried to address this in recent episodes by being sort of husky. Doesn’t really work, but thanks for trying).

But Sean, oh man. He’s awful. Goes on and on without offering any meaningful insight, like at all. And he has some really annoying vocal habits. Does that make sense? Less Sean, please.

Far too many ads, Patreon subscriber shoutout stuff and unconvincing, forced laughter. BUT the content remains very good and in spite of all the above I would recommend this podcast to hardcore ASOIAF nerds.

If you can get over the annoying bits (and there’s a lot of those these days, sadly), this is a GOT/ASOIAF five-star podcast.

Oh and ‘Westorians’? That’s lame, man. Let that die a death.
