Episode 28: Insidious (2010) - Tiptoe Through The Astral Plane
PLEASE NOTE - For some reason Phil's half of the conversation was subject to some weird interference (spooky, right?). We don't know why or how and we managed to mostly clean it up but every now and then it gets a little buzzy. Sorry about that - we blame the demons.
Anyway, your friendly neighbourhood Maniacs talk through the modern classic Insidious from 2010, written by Leigh Whannell and directed by James Wan. What‘s up with Dalton? Why is that song so creepy? Who used all the lipstick? Explore Further with us here …

Episode 27: Poltergeist (1982) - Misty Fingers From Beyond the Grave
The Maniacs talk through the classic movie Poltergeist from 1982, produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Tobe Hooper. We discuss the story, special effects, the real life tragedies resulting in the film being labelled "cursed", and the controversy surrounding who did in fact direct the majority of the movie. We also have a hard time separating our childhood feelings about it with our adult thoughts, there's another brief cameo from Phil's cat and Peter nearly gets attacked by a tree from his garden. Enjoy!

A breath of fresh air
It’s so refreshing to hear two guys who actually seem to love horror movies...in a sea of other horror podcasts that simply exist to scoff at them or slag them off. Always a joy the listen to. Keep up the good work!
Fizz bang, what a podcast
As a huge Hellraiser fan, I really like their other Hellraiser podcast and this is equally as good. The hosts take a welcomed deep dive into the best horror movies out there. I love listening to podcasts where the hosts share the love for horror movies, and this is one of those podcasts. Lovely stuff
Fantastic
Being a huge fan of the brilliant Hellraiser Podcast this was always going on my playlist and I was not disappointed. Peter and Phil really have a passion for all things horror. The episodes are a great and balanced mix of their views, clips and behind the scenes info. Keep them coming guys. I can’t get enough.
