In this first episode we discuss Black Sabbath's Dehumanizer with Ry from Sabbath Bloody Podcast. Made in Heaven

    Made in Heaven

We return with a chat about the "15th Queen album" Made in Heaven. This is an album that was put together after the death of Freddie and released in 1995. The album is a mix of previously released material which was reworked, album outtakes and some music recorded after the Innuendo sessions. Can this truly be considered Queen's 15th studio album? We wade in...

Freddie Mercury - Mr. Bad Guy(Special Edition)

Freddie Mercury - Mr. Bad Guy(Special Edition)

We discuss Freddie Mercury's only solo album, 1985's Mr. Bad Guy. The album was given a fresh mix in 2019, so we will talk about the album in the context of that remix. We also discuss the situation around some of the songs potentially being Queen songs and the fact that Freddie was reported to have signed a huge money deal with CBS, much to the chagrin of the other members of Queen.
NOTE: the audio in this episode at times is poor but overall we felt it was still good enough for release.

    Roger Taylor - Strange Frontier

    Roger Taylor - Strange Frontier

We discuss Roger's second solo album, Strange Frontier. It was recorded over 1983/1984 and is the follow up to Fun in Space. Roger goes for a more contemporary sound on this one and included covers of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan songs respectively. He also recorded two music videos for the songs Strange Frontier and Man on Fire which should go down in music video history!

A Queen podcast of The Magic Kind

A great podcast for Queen fans. Paul, David and Joe delve into each Queen studio album with enjoyable and insightful chat about each track. Their love of Queen comes across, but they’re not afraid to slag off the odd arrangement, ludicrous lyric or most of The Miracle album. One tip: don’t accidentally listen to them at double speed (incomprehensible). Entertaining, i don’t always agree with them, but as a lifelong Queen fan, thet still help me look at the albums afresh.

The Champions

It is excellent to see (and more importantly hear) a Queen podcast. The guys in their inimitable way provide a discussion and review of Queen’s studio albums (and hopefully live, compilations and solo albums in the future). The podcast is most welcome and as the previous reviews have mentioned it is as though you are in a pub having a discussion with fellow Queen fans. Nice that they have kept the content clean too. Follow them on Twitter.
