In Britain, Independency as a movement had its origins in relation to the question of the relationship between church and state. This has shaped the kind of independency that has arisen.

FIEC Pastors’ Network member Robert Strivens (Bradford-on-Avon Baptist Church, Wiltshire) helps us see that Independency remains a biblically convictional position that sets us up well for ministry in our context.
