Excellent lecturer, podcasts could be better

Positive: Lecturer is excellent, she conveys ideas clearly and with a good speaking style. It's a great intro to linguistics.

Negative: The lectures are recorded from a real lecture series given at a university, so you have a certain amount of irrelevant overhead in the lectures (homework deadlines, etc.) and sometimes the title of the podcast doesn't quite reflect the content (for example the first ten minutes of a podcast may be finishing the previous lecture rather than covering the topic given in the title)

Despite the negatives I'd definitely recommend the series if you're interested in linguistics
