Yes, the Insomnia Nights launch is still lurking in the shadows up till now. All the plans for re-posting worthwhile episodes are set aside for now, because of the whirlwind of revelations in my life.  I guess there is some point in the saying, "Life happens when you're busy making other plans." And the truth hurts and time is not my best friend.  Amidst editing takes and polishing recordings, the bomb got dropped. 

Much as I wish to entertain and inspire, this recording chronicles that dark cloud the hovered in our home and gave me a downpour of emotions. The day that I was afraid off ... finally came.

From being brokenhearted, The Girl named Kina takes you to a day that her heart was shattered to a million pieces. Pieces that cut her to the core.

After relegating all the 2020 podcast file recordings to the backburner, The Girl named Kina is back. Still not bent on launching her passion project officially, she just had to share something that is close to her heart, in the real sense.

The podcast series "Insomnia Nights" has been in evolution for over a year now and is still taking form. From poetry reading to midnight musings to pandemic chronicles – it just might end up to be a freestyle radio show.  But good thing, the stories never stopped. Never did. The recordings have been secretly stashed somewhere. One day, hopefully, you can bring out the midnight ice cream or sip your vodka as you hear The Girl named Kina talk you to sleep and make you think about the things happening in the world, and be amused with the crazy twists and turns unfolding in her keen life. 

This episode was recorded in the lamest sense using a mobile phone and done in one take. So pardon the mumbles, pops, hisses and silly background noises. Just wanted to publish this out of posterity. Still no technical frills here, just a genuine story with matching anecdotes of what has been poking her fragile heart lately.

A podcast series featuring The Girl named Kina who, like the rest of the world, has been suffering from sleepless nights. Calls from her friends and lovers fail to put her to sleep, so she whiles away by reading poetry and indulging in nightdreaming.  Fueled by midnight conversations with herself, she somehow gets lost in the stars as she embraces the power of the verse.

Mind you, this is only a test session.  So no technical embellishments in the recording  Just all talk. No dead air.

For now, The Girl named Kina shares to the universe a story she dug up during her lockdown because of the pandemic.
