Sometimes it’s not all puppies and ice cream! A lot of the time, the bad is swept under the rug, and I forget that there is a not-so-pleasant face within this industry. The double-edged sword that is social media, can at times, over-romanticize and lead individuals to believe diving is a fairy tale land where all is amazing and wonderful. Rushed courses, a*****e instructors, lack of standards, sexism, underpaid, and overworked. In this episode, I speak with Nikki, an instructor in Spain. It was a rocky start, but she persevered through to find the love of this sport that so many of us share.
