Islanders Anxiety - Episode 302 - What Emotion to Feel?

Islanders Anxiety: A New York Islanders podcast

Mike and Dan recap a week of good and bad, as the Islanders stay in the thick of the Metro despite some characteristically bizarre games. They start with Saturday night's home game against Montreal in which the nine-round shootout wasn't even the weirdest part. One person's "great atmosphere" is another's unsustainable, impossible parade of inexcusable bullshit, an Islanders' trademark over the last several seasons. A 1-0 overtime loss to St. Louis on Thursday had its own elements of weirdness, as did a rousing win over a wounded Colorado team on Monday. On the whole, the Islanders are where most people expected them to be. But how they got here is just as insane as it ever was. In the second half, we look forward to the first daunting back-to-back of the season and look in on the Leafs, where the coach wasn't happy at practice, half the fanbase isn't happy with him and the former captain is selling magical jewelry.
