In the frost bitten run-up to Christmas 2018, Pixies set about recording a new album at Dreamland Studios, near Woodstock, NY. In an unprecedented move, they recorded every waking moment in the studio and provided all areas access to local music biographer Tony Fletcher to create a ground breaking document: It’s a Pixies Podcast. Over its 12 engrossing weekly episodes, It’s a Pixies Podcast reveals why the new album sounds like a dusty book of eerie folklore tales, full of black arts, Byronesque imagery, death, and its aftermath. Beneath the Eyrie is released on September 13.

A must for Pixies fans!
As a lifelong Pixies fan, it brought joy to my heart to hear the tracks of Beyond the Eyrie being crafted. It felt so intimate, like you were actually there at the recording studios with the band. I’m not normally a fan of podcasts but it was the most enjoyable six or so hours under Coronavirus lockdown so far!
Such a great insight into both the band and the recording of this album. Tony Fletcher adds some brilliant commentary along the way. Thanks for the effort and good luck with the album and the tour!
I’ve never had an experience like this. Listening to how an album is made before it’s released. A great insight into studio production and recording music. Highly recommended
