Jeff Opens up About his Journey

Dr. Jeff Buske opens up about his journey from depressed dentist to fearless father.  Jeff worked so hard to have everything he thought he needed to be successful, but at the end of the day he was in debt and depressed.  He was ready to throw in the towel on dentistry when he read an article by Dr. Bruce B. Baird about increased productivity and decreased stress.  Jeff ended up messaging Dr. Baird that there was no way his claims could be true.  This would be the beginning of a great friendship, as Jeff ended up being invited to attend Dr. Baird’s Productive Dentist Academy.  Prior to attending, Jeff was at his lowest, drinking to sedate and fighting with family. He knew he needed to find a way out.  From the moment he found his mentor and started to get training, he started to change.

    Considering Ending Her Life

    Considering Ending Her Life

Today Dr. Jeff Buske is talking to us about missing out on relationships.  He recalls a story about a patient he had recently.  When he met this woman, she wasn’t in a great place as Jeff sat down to listen to her story and work with her on what she was hoping to achieve.  Weeks later, after her procedure, the woman gave Jeff a card to thank him.  She shared with him that when she first met him, she was in a dark place, considering ending her life.  She goes on to tell Jeff that the love, compassion, and care she received from him helped change that course of direction.   Being present for someone can make all the difference in the world.  So whether it’s your kids, your spouse, or your team, try to just be present.  Put down the phone, forget about work, and just invest in someone else.

    A Few Valuable Lessons

    A Few Valuable Lessons

Today Dr. Jeff Buske is talking with Sabastian Huynh about lessons he learned while on spring break.  Jeff says he and his family went on a skiing vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to enjoy some time together.  While on vacation he learned a few valuable lessons about things from miscommunication to entitlement.  Jeff shares one story about venting to his wife about feeling unappreciated and like an ATM by his children.  It wasn’t until later that it hit him that what he was seeing in his children was mirrored in him.  He realized that he felt entitled to all the thanks because he was putting out all this money.  Meanwhile, his wife spent all the time and energy making their vacation possible and Jeff was just showing up.  She had every right to feel unappreciated by Jeff.  It was thoughtful communication and sharing of feelings that set things straight.

Power, Productivity, and Profitability with Dr. Bruce Baird

Power, Productivity, and Profitability with Dr. Bruce Baird

Dr. Buske is talking with his good friend, mentor, and business partner Dr. Bruce Baird.  Dr. Baird is known as one of the most productive doctors in America.  Together they talk about power, productivity, and profitability.  Dr. Baird says that productivity isn’t about speed and money, it’s about relationships.  When you get to know and take care of your patients, the money takes care of itself.  The key is to not be worried about failure, but to be worried about not learning the lesson you’re supposed to learn. What makes life exciting is finding solutions for problems.  One of Dr. Baird’s solutions is to empower his team which boosts both productivity and profitability.  When people feel like they’re trusted and valued they’ll always do more.

Helping People Get Out of Their own Way with Victoria Peterson

Helping People Get Out of Their own Way with Victoria Peterson

Jeff’s guest today is Victoria Peterson, one of the creators of the Business Foundations training that has helped many including Jeff.  Victoria describes her job as helping people get out of their own way.  She’s a firm believer that everything you need is already inside you, you just need to be put in an environment to help unlock it.  Jeff and Victoria are talking about leadership, something you’re not taught in school.  Victoria describes leadership as the ability to move above the fray of today, look out, and decide your future.  You have to lead yourself before you can lead others and then you will attract other people towards your vision.  So define your core beliefs; why should people follow you? As we say, commitment breeds courage, which gains clarity, which gives confidence.  Do you have the confidence to lead?

    Practicing What They Preach

    Practicing What They Preach

Today we have part two with guest Danny talking about his experience with the men’s training.  In addition, Danny’s wife joins to talk about how the experience changed her husband, herself, and even their children.  After Danny did the work on himself, his wife clung on to his new transformation and energy.  Danny invited her to come have her own experience and transformation, which she did.  All the while they worked on themselves, their children were watching and changing as well.  You have to remember your energy rubs off on your children.  Danny and his wife agreed they needed to teach their children to be men by practicing what they preach.  Their children now have more self-confidence, they’re opening up more, and they own up to their shortcomings.  When you lead yourself you then lead others.
