The Freedom of the Kingdom | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 8
Jesus comes to bring the freedom of the kingdom - and when he does, it comes at several levels. People are freed. Nations are delivered. And the world is redeemed.
The Power of the Kingdom | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 7
In a world where power can so easily be abused, what does Kingdom power look like? In this chapter of Luke Jesus shows us that it's not just judgement or wrath like some think it will be, but that Kingdom power looks like compassion. In two short stories we see the power of god at action in two very different ways. Both however show the Kingdom of God at work.
The Life of the Kingdom | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 6
Jesus calls His followers not just to hear His Words but to follow and obey. This sermon explores what it looks like to live the Kingdom life as we follow the King. We see that the Kingdom life is one characterised by mercy and expresses itself in very practical ways.
Charles is one of our Pastors and leads the Beckenham site.
The Upside-Down Kingdom | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 6
The Kingdom that Jesus inaugurates is unexpected as it goes against what the world perceives as normal. Jesus comes to upend what seems logical and correct as He speaks to His disciples about the values of His upside-down Kingdom.
Andy is one of our pastors and leads our Lee site.
The Kingdom for a Change | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 5
Jesus calls people to come to Him, just as they are, and then He changes them through His word, prayer, power and table.
This message by Andrew Wilson, our Teaching Pastor, is week three of our series, The King & His Kingdom.
The Manifesto of the Kingdom | THE KING & HIS KINGDOM | Luke 4
Phil spoke out of Luke 4 and Jesus’ Kingdom sermon at the synagogue when He reads from Isaiah 61. This is the proclamation and inauguration of the Kingdom of God coming in a new way, through Jesus Himself. This is the Kingdom in which the blind are healed, captives are freed, debts are paid, and people far from God can come home.
Phil is our Senior Associate Pastor.
10/10! Would recommend to a friend, just fantastic!!
