Hey there, Kirsty Wirth here and I am so glad you have dropped by to listen to the Kulturing Kuriosity Podcast. The inspiration behind this podcast comes from my passion to inspire people to be curious in every avenue of their lives and especially when it comes to health and wellness. Being curious is our greatest asset and is like a muscle, it needs to be flexed and once trained it’s amazing what you can achieve.

You will absolutely love the variety of topics that are covered in this podcast. From exploring that food can be medicine, to the complex world of your microbiome and gut health, lifestyle hacks, sleep, nutrition, hormones, parenting, kids health the list goes on!! But I didn’t want this podcast to just provide you with more information to be confused about, I feel we are already at info overload. Rather I wanted to share stories of hope and inspiration of those who have been curious and then followed through on that curiosity and gone on to achieve wonderful things.

So grab a cuppa, or strap on your walking shoes or fasten your seatbelt, however you are going to listen to this and get ready to be inspired, to learn how to think outside the box, how to question norms and your current state and then most importantly be encouraged to apply this to your own life so you can fulfill your own amazing dreams.

Enjoy!

Episode 2: Kulturing Kuriosity with Cyndi O’Meara

Episode 2: Kulturing Kuriosity with Cyndi O’Meara

This week I am joined by the fearless Cyndi O’Meara who tells us about a time when she was in her 50’s and what she discovered about the ketogenic diet. What Cyndi shares comes from such an interesting angle, discussing the ancestral origins and benefits of the Ketogenic diet and how we would do well to keep these origins in mind when applying the diet in our current age.
We discuss her quest for knowledge and how she seeks out and then consolidates the information to quench that thirst for knowledge.
We discuss the idea of ketones being the fourth macronutrient and the controversial topic of xygenous ketones. Later we discuss the importance of staying curious and cultivating this in our children.

Episode 3: Kulturing Kuriosity with Alexx Stuart

Episode 3: Kulturing Kuriosity with Alexx Stuart

In this episode I am joined by Alexx Stuart, founder of Low Tox Life. Alex and I have a wonderful conversation all about the areas in her health that she’s been curious about. We discuss how tonsillitis plagued her until she had a wonderful consult with a naturopath who really changed the course of how she investigated her health, the questions that she asked and taught her the importance of forming a great partnership with a practitioner. She also went on to talk about how she was told at the age of 28 that she was in early menopause and that there wasn’t much she could do about it! She also talks about the masses of information she had to gather and the team she had to have around her to work out what was going on with her severe health decline which in the end was an inflammatory response to mould which was really just providing this cascade of issues she had to address. She talks about some of the blessings that happened for her while learning about mould.
I also ask Alexx about where to from here, what is she curious about now and she discusses her new book, what she is learning about climate change and what we should be doing for our own bodies and health.
