Larry Tompkins - Part 1 - New York & Donegal Club The Long Hall Podcast - America's Irish Voice

    • Society & Culture

In this 2 part podcast we interview former Cork football legend Larry Tompkins.
Larry was in New York earlier this year and sat down with us to discuss his illustrious playing career and in particular his years playing with Donegal club in New York.
Quite simply, there is no Larry Tompkins story without New York and the Donegal club.
Those years, as Larry recalls, were instrumental in improving his game, and set the stage for his return to Ireland
to tog out with Cork and Castlehaven.
Larry also chats to us about his humble upbringing in Kildare, his years playing with the Lilywhites at underage and at senior level and what led to his move to America
Larry’s autobiography, BELIEVE is being released in a few months and we hope to get Larry back on in the near future.
This was one of the first podcasts we recorded and unfortunately a technical glitch means the audio is poor in places.
The video to this podcast is up on our YouTube channel and Facebook page with subtitles which may be a better option for some people.
