Isak produced two clinical finishes to score in each half as he netted on home turf for the sixth consecutive match. Anthony Gordan and Fabian Schar were also on target for the Magpies, while Timo Werner had two chances for Spurs but his finishing let him down. Spurs dropped to fifth, below Aston Villa on goal difference.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Lee McQueen, Patrick Tyrant and Jason McGovern as Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium as they dropped points in the Champions League race.
Spurs had the chance to leapfrog Aston Villa before their game against Manchester City tomorrow but they couldn’t take advantage. Brennan Johnson gave Ange Postecoglou’s side an early lead as he tapped in from close range after Timo Werner’s low cross. That goal rewarded the visitors for their positive start but they were pegged back soon after.
Against the run of play, Kurt Zouma equalised from a corner and that reinvigorated the Hammers following a slow opening 15 minutes. Their threat from set pieces frightened Tottenham all evening and they piled on the pressure towards the end of the first half.
That pressure would disappear after the break though, with Spurs dominant. However, David Moyes’ men would have the best chance to score a winner through Michail Antonio. Antonio shrugged off Micky van de Ven, leaving him one-on-one with Guglielmo Vicario from six yards, but he shot straight at the goalkeeper. That chance was the only major opportunity for both teams in the second half and neither could find a winner as the game ended level.

An absolute delight of a podcast.
I’m more of a listener to music than podcasts, however it was an absolute delight to discover this one a few months ago.
In these days of certain radio and tv stations being controversial for controversial’s sake, with no real basis, in the hunt for clicks and phone calls, it’s a real joy just to listen to the musings of a great and knowledgeable array of guests.
Expertly hosted by Ricky Sacks, who you can see literally gives his heart and soul to this. Now Ricky is one of those rare breed who ask a question and allow answers to be forthcoming without regular interruptions! A rare concept nowadays! He keeps the show on an even keel and as such allows a smooth running schedule that doesn’t digress here there and everywhere.
His array of guests are a mixture of well known to the unknown. The beauty of this is that each guest is treated exactly the same and it is more than apparent the more well known guests are purely there just for the love of our club. They’re not singers, actors, esteemed journalists. On this they’re just THFC fans.
The one thing that binds each and every guest together is their love and knowledge of our club and clearly wanting to be part of this show.
All showing not just a good knowledge of football and our club, but being able to articulate their thoughts and opinions without falling into total hysteria. Therefore making it such a great listen.
LWOS has become a family knit presentation where every listener and viewer are valued and without doubt will deservedly go from strength to strength and deservedly so!
Balanced, knowledgeable and from the heart
When you think of ‘fan podcasts’, one instinctively thinks of senseless anger and futile venting with little understanding.
Last Word on Spurs bucks this trend and is the antithesis of this. Brilliantly hosted my Ricky Sacks, LWOS seeks to delve deep into the club’s recent news and performances.
With a cast of recurring characters and new faces, the show’s panel tries to approach all themes from a range of angles but in a good humoured, polite and charming way.
To insiders, the show is referred to as ‘therapy’ for the stress of supporting Tottenham, but it is more than that. It’s a genuine community of faithful Spurs supporters.
