Laura and her husband Scoop started TTC in 2012. They endured 7 pregnancy losses prior to having son Bertie in 2019 and unfortunately went on to have another 2 losses since his birth. They say 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss. But for Laura and Scoop it is 9 in 10.
Laura experiences missed miscarriages, chemicals, partial molar, ectopics and was diagnosed with a heart-shaped womb and autoimmune problems. She has a slightly blasé attitude about things, it’s a self preservation thing- the only way she was able to cope with so much loss and grief.
Writing was Laura’s main outlet and last year she had a book published about what happened to her. ‘It Will Happen’ is a memoir of her journey to motherhood through recurrent miscarriage and pregnancy loss.
