The Last of Us: Part 2

The Last of Us: Part 2

After a long seven year wait we've finally got our hands on one of the most anticipated game sequels of all-time - the follow up to 2013's smash hit survival game, The Last of Us. The game sees us catch up with Joel and Ellie some 4 or 5 years after the events of the first game still navigating a world plagued by infected people but now with the added danger of further groups of survivors threatening their way of life. Along with those familiar faces we now have some new characters including Dina, Jesse and a new main antogonist called Abby.

Join us as we dissect one of the best games of the year and of this entire gaming generation in our longest ever episode. Of course it goes without saying that this episode will contain SPOILERS so please get yourself comfy, listen and then hit up our Twitter page to let us know what you think about the game, your favourite moments, any gripes you may have and all that good stuff!

The Snyder Cut and Toxic Fandom

The Snyder Cut and Toxic Fandom

Ever since the quite indifferent response to it's release in 2017, Justice League has been plagued by one question... WHERE IS THE SNYDER CUT?? The fabled version lauded by original director, Zack Snyder, who unfortunately had to leave the project due to a family emergency and many fans on various social media platforms since Zack himself has spent a lot of time telling people what his version contained, what was cut from the cinematic release and how much better his version would have been.

This has led to a very toxic surge of fans - especially on Twitter - led by Zack himself pushing the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag for years in order to pressure Warner Bros/DC into releasing this version.

Well that time has come as HBO have confirmed that in 2021 they will be screening this version. Now renamed as "Zack Snyder's Justice League", it's set to be screened a 4 hour miniseries rather than an actual film and they're putting up to $30M in to complete the editing... even though Zack has stated many times that the film was completely finished. Hmmmm.

Well with this being such a huge talking area in our arena we had to talk about this didn't we? Not just the release itself but the movement behind it and the possibily ramifications going forward. Is this a good step for loyal fans or a really bad step for entitled people who aren't getting exactly what they want?

    The Mandalorian

    The Mandalorian

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the  First Order. The series depicts a lone bounty hunter in the outer  reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

The Mandalorian has been a huge draw so far for Disney+ - the new Disney-owned streaming service where you can find all your Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar and National Geographic content in one place - and as Star Wars fans it's our duty to talk about the show now the final episode has been aired in the UK.

With a star-studded cast, a new adorable alien and a wise-cracking droid this ticks all the boxes on paper for a Star Wars smash but does it live up to the hype? Come with us while we explore the series.

    This is the way.

    Tiger King

    Tiger King

The latest in a long line of binge-worthy documentaries from Netflix takes us all the way to Oklahoma to follow the exploits of Joe Maldonado-Passge, aka, Joe Exotic - the self proclaimed Tiger King. What starts off as a light hearted look at his big cat zoo turns into a bitter feud with Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist with a similar love for big cats but a few skeletons in her closet (and septic tank...) too.

The show has it all - drama, maiming, fires, attempted murder, alleged murder and a whole cast of very colourful characters to grip your attention and get you talking. Come hear our thoughts and let us know what you think over on Twitter when you've finished.

    Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy

    Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy

When Sam Raimi released his first Spider-Man film in 2002 nobody could ever have imagined that it would be the beginning of an entirely new genre of films which would make billions each year. With Tobey Maguire in the titular role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst as his longterm love interest, Mary-Jane Watson, the trilogy exploded onto the big screen and took $2.5bn in the space of 5-6 years.

Willem Defoe portrayed the villainous Green Goblin in the first film while the second gave us Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus which is wildely revered as one of the best villain portrayals of all-time but the less said about the villains in the third film the better.

Join us as we take a web-sling down memory lane and let us know your thoughts over on Twitter.
