#280 The Covid Tapes (Lee Dainton)

This week marks three years since the world went into lockdown following the global outbreak of COVID-19. I've been thinking about that strange and surreal time quite a bit recently, and now feels like the right time to share this series of interviews that I did during the first lockdown period for my supporters over on Patreon. I spent a whole month uploading a new episode every weekday, and for each episode I was joined by past podcast guests and friends of the show. We spoke about our mutual lockdown experiences and attempted to make sense of everything that was going on at that time, and each guest handpicked a five-song playlist to the end of the world, hence the name of the series: Soundtrack Apocalypse. I've renamed them The Covid Tapes here. I hope you enjoy this peculiar little trip down memory lane. It still feels like a bit of a dream/nightmare doesn't it?!? Thank "whoever" it's all over now. I'm very thankful to be working again. And I'm extremely grateful to everyone who supported me during this time, especially the Patreon crew without whom I never would've made it. Thank you. X

Fantastic, intimate tales of life in the industry

Matt manages to capture really intimate missives from some of the best in the business A smorgasbord of funny, touching and fascinating interviews. Also a real pleasure digging into the back catalogue.

Avoid

One of the worst podcasts I have ever listened to. Utterly clueless host who is so ego driven it’s embarrassing. Avoid at all costs
