Lizzard And Panda Take On Cinema Lizz Burgess-Stout

Lizzard has only seen the first Bad Boys movie, so we decided to watch the sequel in preparation for the new Bad Boys coming out! It’s a pretty typical buddy-cop movie, but what really makes this movie is the chemistry between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence and there are a lot of funny moments in this film. For movie news, we have some casting rumors for Knives Out 3, live-action Hercules, and the new Jurassic World movie. We also got a new Beetlejuice 2 trailer which does make Lizzard and Panda pretty excited! Plus some release dates for movies in 2025 (a decent chunk sadly is not too exciting). Lizzard has also re-watched some movies like Mad Max 3 and Studio 666, plus some new movies like Immaculate, Abigail, and I Saw the TV Glow. So grab your snacks, some grape soda, and your best buddy for this new episode of Bad Boys 2!

Sometimes you just need to drive some heavy duty trucks and crash some things to find paradise. With Furiosa coming out, we have Mad Max: Fury Road! We both remember seeing this movie in theaters and we still love it now. Bad ass characters, stunning visuals, cool cars and trucks, character arcs, it’s got it all! Lizzard watched some movies, two have been out for a while (Ready Player One first time watch and Mad Max 2 rewatch which brought back memories) and the new movie Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes! In a post apocalyptic world, sometimes you just gotta hop in a badass vehicle and just drive. You might have to do some explosions on the way. Enjoy!

With Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes coming out, we made the decision to discuss Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes……which we have thoughts. Spoiler alert: we agree with the general public on this one. Lots of plot holes, trying to shove nostalgia in unnecessary moments, and some moments that just don’t make sense. But we have lots of movie news including a Jesus horror movie coming, some updates on Terrifier 3, a He-Man live action movie, and many more! We also take a moment to remember Bernard Hill (may he rest in peace). Lizzard and has seen a lot of movies since it’s been a couple weeks for us so she has some thoughts on Stopmotion, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Boy Kills World. And she finally watched the Rise of the Planet of the Apes trilogy! What are your thoughts on this version of Planet of the Apes?

We had a request a while ago for a Godzilla movie and here we are talking about Shin Godzilla! This was Lizzard’s first watch and she really enjoyed it, but definitely needs to watch the Japanese version to form a more broad opinion. But who doesn’t love a giant creature terrorizing a city? Even if he looks like a muppet at first. For movie news we have a lot from Cinemacon such as a first look at Transformers, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Gladiator 2. We also talk about some movies Lizzard has seen like Godzilla x Kong and The First Omen. Oh yeah! And the new Maxxxine trailer dropped! Just make sure you watch out for that large monster, but maybe he just wants to be loved!

We tackled our favorite movie scores, now it’s time for our top ten favorite movie soundtracks! We didn’t know exactly what each other picked, but being the best friends we are of course we had some matching. We also guessed a few of each other’s (there’s a reason why we’ve been best friends for so long). Also can’t forget those honorable mentions which Lizzard has one that seems so random, but she refuses to apologize for it! For movie news we don’t have a lot since we recorded on April Fools’ Day and we couldn’t trust anyone. But we do talk about how Jordan Peele will be directing the movie Death Stranding based on the video game. We also honor Chance Perdomo who lost his life far too young (you might know him from Gen V and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). And what has Lizzard seen lately? Well it seems she is part of a minority for liking Imaginary and both her and Panda talk about the new movie Late Night with the Devil that they both got to see together! And rest in peace Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball. We both watched some movies for the first time such as Spaceman, Damsel, and Love Lies Bleeding.
