Brings back memories - and more
As someone who frequently vsiited Eastbourne (maybe 4 or 5 day trips a year) as a child growing up in the 1960s/early 70s, I am finding these podcasts not only bring back happy memories of those vsiits but also inform and entertain. Cole & Emily are great guides to the area and the podcasts a very enjoyable listen.
Unexpected revelations
I had just returned from a lovely trip to East Sussex when a friend recommended that I start listening to this podcast. I only started listening to Edge of England a couple of days ago and already I’m on to the second series - I am hooked! I love the vivid descriptions of the landscape; about transforming demographic; ghostly tales and mysteries, the (nearly forgotten) war tragedies; Parson Derby, smugglers and all of it, actually. I really like how the presenters walk and talk across the areas they visit, I really feel like I’ve been transported along with them. Great podcast.
