Something really important is missing

These are fascinating, compelling programmes, underpinned by a laudable desire to keep us questioning what is occurring and, of course, why. When it comes to animal fats vs. Vegetable fats though, all I can hear is an examination of flavour and human health. Why is there no reference to the animal welfare, climate change or other ecological implications of our eating large - or at least larger - quantities of animal produce? Why is Mr. Gladwell, who seems so thoughtful and empathetic, not able to factor in these issues? He is blinded it seems not only by the fact that there has been a misunderstanding of what is good our physical health, but also by the sensual wonders of a potato fried in beef dripping. I suppose that is one part of being a human animal. But what about our souls?

Thanks all the same for the work you (all) do!

Very American

Gladwell provides great insight. Well worth listening to, especially on education.
