113: Finding your Passion... Then Finding Your Business with Phillip Clark

113: Finding your Passion... Then Finding Your Business with Phillip Clark

    Phillip Clark
I am the founder and CEO of ENABLE Special Needs Planning. We help families across the country plan for an abundant life for their loved one with special needs. My unique view of what special needs planning should be comes from the impact that my younger sister, who has Down syndrome, has had on my life. I believe that Special Needs Planning should be focused on allowing our loved ones to live a fulfilling, purposeful, and impactful life…today and every day in the future.
I can speak to the internal struggle of what society tells us to do vs what we actually want/need/are capable of doing from two aspects.
1.For the first part of my career, I was told by my industry and the firms I was associated with that Special Needs Planning was only helping families answer the question of ‘What happens when the parents pass away?’ I knew that families, much like my own, needed so much more. I broke away from industry norms and now help families plan from an abundant mindset for a great life for their loved one TODAY and every day in the future.
2.I believe that EVERYONE, including individuals with special needs, has the ability to impact the lives of others, which is what gives us all a sense of purpose to this life. I help families think beyond the limitations of what they have been for their child’s future. When a family can move from a mindset of limitations to a mindset of abundance, so many opportunities open up for their loved one. How we define success is based on whether our loved ones feel happy and fulfilled with their life. Success shouldn’t be centered on societies opinion of ‘success’.

110: Immigration, Appreciation, and Success with Pavel and Victor

110: Immigration, Appreciation, and Success with Pavel and Victor

    Victor Rakovich:

Victor channeled his creativity into starting several businesses in the emerging stretch ceiling industry. As an Artist-Entrepreneur, Victor views both the marketing strategies and the business models as the art mediums. During the COVID lockdown, he turned his designer service for
fabric coverings into a curated collection of contemporary wall decor for entrepreneurs. Victor found his niche by merging his creativity and quest for self-realization. The new branch of his business is now a 100% online operation with excellent profit margins in a rapidly growing
industry of online art-sales. Victor's art collection is specifically crafted to keep your mind focused on your goals, to engage your spirit, and energize your actions. He designed his inspirational wall decor for the office, home, or studio that needs an extra boost of prosperity energy.
    Pavel Chaploutskiy:
During the painful collapse of the Soviet Union, the economy was fractured, the currency changed overnight, there were no jobs which paid. My parents as well as millions of other adults went to work without pay. Naively believing that the government would fix things quickly. We had to find ways to make money, so I’d say the struggle made me an entrepreneur. I was 11 years old when I started hustling on the flea market with my grandmother.
Stretch fabric ceilings are a hugely popular architectural solution in
Europe and Asia. We own two brands for our stretch fabric ceiling products. Our consumer brand, PopcornCeilingSolution.com, is targeted toward condo owners, condo associations, high-rise apartment owners, and even hotels with popcorn and concrete ceilings. The solution we offer is an alternative to popcorn ceiling removal that includes the ability to install LED
recessed lighting anywhere in apartments and buildings with concrete ceilings.
    On this episode:
Victor and Pavel discuss how early struggles have helped delaing with adversity and providing a huge appreciation for success.
    Tweetable Quotes:
"Success can be measured in the size of adversity one had to overcome."
"An Entrepeneur is someone who has to want to wake up and solve problems."
