A review of The Male Suicides

I found it hard to choose a podcast to listen to at first, all of the subjects on offer were fascinating, many of them topics that you wouldn't get to hear anywhere else. But what drew me to this one was the focus on suicide, a dark topic, so often surrounded by stigma. I felt that no one ever really addresses the subject of mental health on suicide. So I was immediately tempted by the opportunity to hear more about it and think about it in a much more open way. In the podcast, lots of the things that were talked about were things I knew about or felt, but never really understood. The focus on social pressure and expectations was surprising, but the more I listened, the more I realised how true everything that was said was.

I had never really listened to podcasts before, but I can definitely imagine it being something that I would do more of in my free time, on my way to school etc.

My only complaint is that it was very long, and I would have liked there to be something that I could listen to in one sitting, but other than that, I am definitely looking forward to listening to other Mosaic podcasts soon.

Science has never sounded so good!

The idea of a science podcast can be quite intimidating - or even boring - but this podcast series is fascinating, engaging and always feels relevant. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone with a curious mind!
